Moreways Healthcare is committed to helping ensure that your home is safe, comfortable and maintained to an appropriate standard.

We work with residents, tenants, landlords, housing providers and relevant contractors to identify and respond to repairs and maintenance issues.

If you notice a repair, maintenance problem or damaged item in your home, please report it as soon as possible so that the issue can be assessed and the appropriate action arranged.

Repairs may include general maintenance, plumbing, heating, gas, electrical issues, appliances, fixtures, fittings or furniture, depending on the arrangements for your home and service.

Emergency Issues

  • If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the property if it is safe to do so. Do not use electrical switches, flames or appliances. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 from a safe location. Call 999 if anyone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help.
  • If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999.
  • Before reporting an electrical repair, check whether there is a wider power cut, whether your electricity meter has credit where applicable, and whether the appliance is plugged in and switched on. Do not touch damaged wiring or equipment if it may be unsafe.
  • If you have a water leak, turn off the water supply at the stopcock if you know where it is and can do so safely. Use towels or containers to limit damage where possible. If the leak is serious, affects electrics or cannot be contained, contact the emergency repair service and call 999 if there is an immediate danger.
